Prehistoric cultural affiliation(s) include Ancestral Pueblo (Anasazi), Coatition Period, Classic Period, Pueblo Iii and Pueblo Iv dating back to 1000.

Many famous people are associated with these Santa Fe County historic places including John Brincherhoff Jackson, Alice Corbin Henderson, Judge John R. McFie, Archbishop Jean Baptiste Lamy and Ricardo Alarid.

Some of the country's most noteable architects helped create the Santa Fe County places including John Gaw Meem, U.S. Army, Union Bridge Company, Civilian Conservation Corps, Ricardo C. de Baca, John Brinckerhoff Jackson, A.G.
