A well traveled trail starting at the Ski Santa Fe parking lot. An hour and fifteen minutes to the Rio Nambe at trail 400 to Nambe Lake.

The first 30 minutes is a moderate uphill grade. The remainder is slightly downhill to the Rio Nambe.

Trail 400 continues another hour and a half to alpine Nambe Lake.
